1. 1969 Chevrolet Corvette ZL1

Originally sold for over $10,000—double the standard model—these street-legal racers now fetch multi-million-dollar prices, with one example selling for more than $3 million at auction. Only 2 Corvette ZL1s were built, each featuring an all-aluminum 427-cubic-inch V8 engine.

2. 1970 Dodge Coronet R/T Convertible

3. 1970 Buick GSX Stage 1

With just 678 units made, the Buick GSX Stage 1 delivered 510 lb-ft of torque and outran many Corvettes. Offered only in Saturn Yellow and Apollo White, it stunned muscle fans by outperforming even the famous LS6 Chevelle in quarter-mile races.

8. 1966 Ford Fairlane 500 R-Code

Stripped bare—no radio, no heater—these factory missiles took aim at GM and Mopar rivals. Only 57 R-Code Fairlane 500s were built, each packing a 425-hp 427 V8 meant for drag racing. As of now, only a handful of examples can be found in original condition.

10. 1970 Oldsmobile 442 W-30 Convertible
